Uplifting Native American Artists Through Photography
As a photographer from Fort Hall, Idaho, and a proud Shoshone and Blackfeet Native American, I have always felt a deep connection to my roots and my people’s stories. Photography has become my way of celebrating and preserving Native traditions, art, and culture in a world that is increasingly photo- and video-driven.
I view my work as a way to document the beauty and resilience of Native American traditions, stories, tribes, and the incredible artists who carry them forward. Through my lens, I aim to showcase the creativity and talent within our community—whether it’s collaborating with Native brands, artists, stores, models, or makeup artists. Each project is not just a photoshoot but an opportunity to celebrate the unique essence of our culture and share it with the world.
It’s up to all Native people to use our passions and talents to tell the stories of our people, and I feel incredibly fortunate that my art allows me to contribute to this mission. Every image I create feels like a step toward ensuring that our narratives, traditions, and artistry are remembered and honored for generations to come.
I’ve had the privilege of working with so many incredible Native creatives, and each collaboration inspires me to continue pushing my craft. As I grow, I look forward to partnering with even more talented individuals and organizations to elevate and celebrate the voices of Native American artists. Together, we can ensure that our stories are not just preserved but celebrated in all their beauty and complexity.
I am grateful every day for the opportunity to use my skills to uplift my community and share our stories with the world.
